Therapies

Throughout the different levels of care, our clients receive both group and individual therapy sessions, individualized special focus groups, didactic groups covering education on addiction and recovery, life skills, values clarification, communication skills, assertiveness training, goal planning, and relapse prevention, among many other types of groups aimed at helping the client maintain abstinence and improve their quality of life. Twelve Step groups are conducted nightly by volunteers from the recovering community in order to prepare individuals for involvement in support groups within their communities. Our continuum of care includes a biopsychosocial assessment consisting of a medical exam, a psycho-social history, a substance abuse history, and a mental health evaluation. These tools are used to design an individualized treatment plan that is updated as the individual moves through the various levels of care.

Family Therapies

Family involvement is strongly recommended, and family members/significant others are also provided with different levels of care, including weekly family groups, individual therapy, and family aftercare. Family therapy may involve married couples, parent-child relationships, extended family, and committed adult relationships. Many of these family services are provided at no additional cost to the family members/significant others.
