Communicare offers a wide variety of services to individuals with a diagnosis of intellectual and developmental disabilities that include: Day Services Adult, Behavior Supports, Home Community Supports, Community Respite, Job Discovery, Supported Employment, and Pre-Vocational.
Services to assist and support individuals in retaining and/or improving skills which afford the greatest level of independence possible. Numerous and varied opportunities to participate in activities in the community are provided.
Meaningful day activities of learning and work experiences, including volunteer work, used to develop general strength and skills that contribute to paid employment in integrated settings
Offers respite to caregivers and provides the individual with a place to go which has scheduled activities to address preferences/ requirements and also provides for the health and socialization needs and community integration of the individual
Intensive ongoing support to obtain and maintain an individual not in competitive or customized employment or self- employment
Activities and exploration that lead to the development of a person centered career profile and employment goal or career plan
Assistance with activities that provide the individual the opportunity to participate in community events, eating out, going to places of interest
Assistance with activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, eating, dressing, and light housekeeping
Offers individuals a more independent living experience with 24/7 awake staffing to offer assistance. Transportation to and from day programs and community activities is provided as well as support with shopping for food and personal items and individual finances.
Offers individuals an independent living experience in their own apartments/ homes with help as needed from staff who are on call 24 hours a day should a need arise. Transportation as well as help with daily living activities are provided.
